Island - ' Snorkel With Dolphins ' is the newest and
most popular activity in Punta Cana. A large floating
platform in the ocean just off the beach at the Barcelo

live music venues, there's always something exciting
to do. Nightclubs, lounges, pubs, & music venues are
all over the region. Many festivals and events find their

every Labor Day Weekend, as well as numerous events throughout

The Biggest Attractions are the Beaches.
Their names from North to South Cap Cana, Punta Cana,
Cabeza de Toro, Bavaro, El Cortecito, Arena Gorda, Macao
and Uvero Alto. The beach goes on for over 100 miles!
Most are public with only a few short stretches reserved
for resorts. You can freely walk the beach from one hotel
beach front to another, especially in the Cortecito, Bavaro
and Cabeza de Toro areas. Macao, to the north, is the
most undeveloped and unrestricted. Leave your valuables
at the hotel when walking the beach, and caution should
be taken in deserted beach stretches.
Water sports on the beach include: catamaran rides, party
boats, restaurant dining at sunset on the sea, parasailing,
glass bottom boats, sports fishing, diving, snorkeling,
& speed boats. Boat taxis go from one hotel to another
from the beach. There is banana boating, kayaking, windsurfing,
sailing and beach volleyball.
Safari-type excursions on 4-wheelers, buggy rides, jeep
safaris, monster trucks or helicopter rides are all available.
There are tours to the tropical wilderness, countryside
homes for a Dominican lunch, trips to deserted beaches
or cool rivers.
Horseback riding is available with rides on deserted
white-sand beaches.
There is a Marinarium. - A marine park to snorkel with
sharks and rays.
Visit Manati Park Bavaro. A 130,000 square meter preserve
with permanent exhibits of birds, reptiles, and fish.
Parrots, dolphins and dancing horses. There is a free
shuttle bus to and from principal hotels in the area.
Punta Cana Ecological Reserve provides guided tours through
tropical flora with an optional refreshing swim in a cool
spring at the end. You will walk through real jungle.
Only 15 minutes from Punta Cana International Airport.
Rancho Jonathan has caving excursions to Boca de Diablo,
a large cave system south of Los Haitises.
